We had such a wonderful birthday party experience for my son’s 4th birthday. Both coaches were just so wonderful and kind. The kids had so much fun. Everything went so smoothly. The little gift was so special and the lemur is now my son’s favourite stuffed animal. Thank you!!
Our son was a part of Ortona's MAG program as a developmental and competitive athlete from 2020-2025, and in the end the experience became disappointing. They seem to ask a lot out of their members, with no guarantees that they will help protect your investment into their club. Ortona is a Society that charges high contract fees and requires volunteer hours. In the 2024-2025 season, we were expected to donate 15 volunteer hours, work 1 bingo or Casino and fundraise $200. Not fulfilling these requirements could add an extra $1,000 to one's bill and if any portion of this is left unpaid, they may very well threaten to send creditors after you. I’m sharing this because I believe it’s helpful for people to understand the financial and volunteer expectations before committing. Beyond this, the club lost some of Alberta's best coaches at the end of last year's contract season which also affected our son, who decided that following his coach and teammates to another club (private club this time) was more important than staying with Ortona.
We've had an amazing experience at Ortona Gymnastics! The facility is top-notch, with everything you could hope for in a safe and well-equipped space for young athletes. The coaches are absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, supportive, and truly passionate about what they do. They go above and beyond to help each child grow and succeed, both in skills and confidence.
My daughter absolutely loves it there. She's always excited for her classes and comes home beaming with pride over her progress. It's wonderful to see her thriving in such a positive and encouraging environment. I can't recommend Ortona Gymnastics enough—it's the perfect place for kids to have fun, learn, and build lifelong skills!
My daughter started gymnastics for the first time at age 8 at Ortona this year. She absolutely loved it! Her coach, Casey, was truly wonderful. We adore her! She was very kind and patient, helping build my daughter's confidence throughout the weeks. She was very inspired and we saw great progress in a short time. My daughter is signed up for a new term at the next badge level and is looking forward to it.
No words are enough to express mine and my children’s sincere gratitude to the Ortona family. The coaches and administrators are amazing, and go above and beyond for my three kids. We are so fortunate to be part of the Ortona family. My three children are all in competitive and they love going to practices every week. Thank you Ortona!
